The baggage is one reason I wouldn't want him but also he just isn't a D1 QB. I don't think the guy we have committed (Arceneaux) is a D1 QB either.

I'll disagree with you there. He had plenty of time last night. I can remember one instance where McGuire did his job and handled a blitzing cornerback...Haack had more time yet released it too early for an incomplete pass. I think our O-line did well pass blocking...but can't run block their way out of a wet paper bag.

And always having to play with no confidence because your coach has not given you any all year. So you play with fear of making that mistake that will finish off your career.

I think too much focus is being placed on the shoulders of the qb position for our offensive problems. There are so many problems going on with that unit, no one position can fix it. We just don't seem to have any rhyme or reason to our scheme at times.

If this coaching staff has any clout what-so-ever, then Nixon needs to be told that he had ample opportunity to prove he could be a D1 QB and failed. What he did prove is that he could be a very good RB and that if he wants to see the field, either be moved or sit.

This program has too much potential to be brought down by an athlete who thinks to highly of himself to listen to the coaches and play where he will be successful.

If he doesn't like it, then he is welcome to go elsewhere. I guarantee that no other D1 program in the country will let him play QB.

What ____ing game were you watching? This team had a lot more problems than Nixon playing 6 snaps last night.

Come on man, I do not at all think Nixon is bringing down the program, but if the way Hud is handling Nixon is a microcosm of how he manages the team, then THAT will bring this program to its knees.

All I know is that even with the recent success, the past 2 years have been puzzling. This team has consistently shown a lack of fundamentals and the schemes are seeing to get worse. Case and point is using Eli up the middle when he has proven that he is one of if not the best player in the conference. How can anyone who calls themselves a coach squander talent like that?

Fair enough. I don't know what to think right now. I think Hud gets this corrected but it obviously won't be this year.

Did fuse actually not catch that long pass? The reviews they showed in the stadium couldnt have over turned it. Did they show one on tv that showed the ball on the ground?
