Two things--fans are angry "in the heat of the moment"?!? We're 4-5 where our wins have come against teams with a COMBINED 8 wins(3,2,2,1)--that's a pretty LONG moment!! Second, I HOPE Hud is taking this harder than US--This is on HIM--settle on a QB; QUIT using Eli just between the tackles when the other team is making SURE they stop that; teach players how to tackle!!
One thing's for sure, we don't have to worry about losing him after this season.......

My biggest concern about the program right now is that Hudspeth does seem to want to accept any personal responsibility for the way our team has played this season. That usually indicates a lack of character that will eventually become evident to the players. He should man up and accept total responsibility for the fiasco that this season has turned in to. He needs to take his press clippings from the previous four years down from his bulletin board. He's not nearly as good as any of us thought he was.

I agree with you on all points. The only thing I think is premature and irrational are the few calling for him to be fired or say they don't believe he cares any more because he is making lots of money.

Ok, I slept, I awoke, I feel no differnt. Not calling for immediate dismisal, that would be stupid, but if this university wants a respectible return on investment, he should be in someone's office already this morning providing a plan on how he is going to turn this program around, and put on notice. I've always been a HUD supporter, but its undeniable, that this is not the only year in decline. Don't care what the record has been, the play has gotten worse. Arkansas St and So.AL has coaches improving their programs in less time than UL. This cannot be just chalked by by the AD as an off season, we'll be fine next year attitude. HUD has been great at promoting this university and deserves much gratitude, but coaching decisions and this team play has to improve.

I think I remember hearing in the spring and fall that HUD had backed off of the some of the physical, intense training they did in the past because of concern of injuries. Any impact? Not sure. This year's team is missing that dominance.

Yes that's some crazy talk. As much as I think this team has been misused there is no reason to fire a guy when he has a down year. Especially considering the weak play we are getting out of our OL/DL.

We need to be going to every major juco and recruiting lineman. If we don't pick up at least 2 Jucos on each side of the line for next year, I'll be concerned.

OK everyone just hold on remember Jerry Baldwin, remember Homecoming against 0-27 WKU the world is not coming to an end. Yes this is a down year but we aren't eliminated from bowl contention. You guys use to upset me with all the negativity but I realize you are just companionate fans that will never let go of the rope if so you would have done it a long time ago. So vent if you want my brothers and sisters us old fans have earned that right but Never Let Go Of The Rope. The die hard will support no matter what, the on the fence will contemplate, and the band wagoner's will run to Walmart for their holiday purple and gold gear. Its Friday don't forget to see, I mean rear red. GEAUX CAJUNS

We need to be going to every major juco and recruiting lineman. If we don't pick up at least 2 Jucos on each side of the line for next year, I'll be concerned.

This should be done every single year, not just when there is a void, while at the same time recruiting 2 high school seniors on each side of the line.

12 linemen (each side) on the full roster at all times.

28% of my roster would be linemen.

I believe Bustle was the coach that year. That game was he's nail in the coffin.
