That would have been a first! Obviously, putting ones arms around a runner and wrapping up is a lost art on our team. USA rushed for 200+ yards and I bet more than 50% of that yardage was after first contact!

I remember mud 80s I also remember taking milt art leave and flying from Honduras to watch this team when you could park a couple of rows from a gate 30 minutes before a game and I'll rake Hud over those years any day

My biggest disappointment is with our O-line. Grade is F. An average performance and this is a very winnable game. It was 3rd and long all night.

Also it pointless to blame play calling when ypur OL is getting their arse whipped. After 1st drive which was a promising start.....they were gawd aweful terrible.

Defense was in position to make plays. Tackling gets a D--.

Punting was pretty good. Its a game, the sun will come up tomorrow.

Let us all retire for the evening being thankful for what we've had in the recent past , dreaming about our future one day in the Big 12, even though the present day pretty much sucks.

Look, I'm as mad as anyone and frustrated with watching this team and play calling, but you're crazy if you want to kick Hud out. Shuffle up the coaching staff? Yeah. Give Hud some anti psychotic meds? Probably wouldn't hurt. The man is an incredible coach that has done a poor job this year. We all have very short memories when we are angry. I try not to think about the 2000s and try to cherish the last 4 years. Firing a guy who brought us unimaginable and consistent success because he and the team are having a bad year is pure insanity.

I want him to step up and start assigning blame to the coaching staff. I want explanations as much as you guys do. But we all know that you are only going to get coach speak.

Buck up, call this season a mulligan and look forward to basketball if you like, but don't forget history and the many years of darkness that surrounded this program until this guy coached us out of it.

Also, remember all the fire Robe, fire Marlin chatter? How excited are we to see those guys and their teams?

I agree with you that calls for his job are ridiculous. It's because fans are angry in the heat of the moment. He has brought us a lot of success and excitement to the program. On the flip side, I feel like we have been sold the idea that we have better talent recruited than ever before in program history. If that is true, why are we taking steps backward in year 5 in a bad conference?
Ultimately I hope Coach Hud takes a long, honest look at things at the end of the season and figures out what changes need to be made to be where we should be at this point in his tenure. Our ''down' year should not be fighting to stay out of the bottom half of the SBC.
Lastly, I still think he is the right man for the job. He has won everywhere he has been. He is a winner. But even winners get lost sometimes and simply need some adversity to force them to look more closely at how they are doing things. Success and pats on the back over the course of a few years can make you lose sight of the little things that got you there to begin with. I don't know him personally, but none of us take these losses harder than he does!

Two things--fans are angry "in the heat of the moment"?!? We're 4-5 where our wins have come against teams with a COMBINED 8 wins(3,2,2,1)--that's a pretty LONG moment!! Second, I HOPE Hud is taking this harder than US--This is on HIM--settle on a QB; QUIT using Eli just between the tackles when the other team is making SURE they stop that; teach players how to tackle!!
One thing's for sure, we don't have to worry about losing him after this season.......

To tell you the truth I really wouldn't care. Inconsistent play is what I expect from a poorly coached team. Play up or down to the competition. GEAUX CAJUNS!
