Size is not an issue for him. It's all the other aspects that keeps him from being an elite SEC defensive lineman. Sure he has contributed...but a person with this size should be dominating.
Sherrod Johnson is a pretty poor example. Even for us, was recruited as a project.

Jacoby Briscoe is a better example. Had all the physical attributes to be a dominant player and hasn't lived up.

Briscoe is too heavy, he needs to drop about 20-30 pounds to get his quickness back.

Whatever happened to Roderick Stephens? He looked really good last year when he played.

Sherrod is the prime example of my argument. A guy with tremendous size, with little football background who could not be coached up in the time allotted. You see skill players all the time who have little football background go on to succeed. It's just not feasible for lineman.

When the "misses" on these players becomes a trend you can't continue to blame the players. At what point do you decide that it's the coaching staff who can't coach up the talent they get?

I'm still ____ed our staff passed on surefire guys like Vernon Butler, O'Shea Dugas because they either didn't want to anger current commits, or out of pure stubbornness.

Any chance bandwagon kings's son wants to transfer in?

Seriously, it would be cool to get an update on how his season is going at the JUCO he went to. Maybe someone can bump one of those insane threads and get BWK's attention?

There are no ready made linemen signing with UL

As a Coach on the collegiate level, if you don't have the talent and lose....its your own fault.....if you do have the talent and lose....it's your own fault....and that's all there is to it.....

Ok then just more chances then.
