Its too soon to tell but we may just have Jake D. and Bryan M. on the same team right now. If so, you gotta play em both.

I think quarterbacks that are dual threat and can run and pass effectively are the exception, not the norm. I have always been of the opinion that quarterbacks should focus on one thing, and do it well. That is why I was pulling for Haack at the beginning of the season.

Don't get me wrong, the Cajuns need to make a change to get a spark, but if it wasn't for fumbles, penalties and backwards runs, Haack would have played the entire game. He was moving the offense on every drive. The defense played better in the second half, which allowed the offense more time to execute.
    This. All of this.

This is a good problem and I like it.
IMO if you bring in Nixon for 1 or 2 drives a game or "occasionally" that's a 2 QB system. If Nixon is a back up and comes in only because BH is hurt or can't go for some reason then that's not. For example how many times did you see TBs back up, only when he couldn't go, that's a one QB system.

IMO I like the idea of JN getting 2-3 series a game. 2 good QBs with different skill sets can be very effective.

Which QB has the strongest arm with the most zip??? Which is faster??? Which has the best completion percentage??? Which QB gives the dual threat to help the running game and can pass very well (100%)??? I love the speed option, or giving to the RB off the fake, or having a third option of a load coming with the QB---think I have seen passing after this also---I love the read option, I love the regular option, and I love when Nixon rolls out of the pocket to pass or run----We talked about it before the game and felt that the backup should be Haack since he is the desperation guy for passes!!! So last week N'Western played horribly on defense against the run, so who would be the better choice to start against them??? Here we go!!!

Haack sets the tone, Nixon change of pace.

I can tell you this, if we don't score a TD in 1 of our first 2 drives, I think we'll be seeing Nixon early.

I will disagree with your last paragraph. The offense's ability to execute was not helped, at all, in the second half by the defense. With all of the plays we gave up on defense in the first half, we were still tied or ahead of UK in time of possession at halftime as our offense did move the ball in the first half. They just couldn't finish it off or we had horrible penalties or turnovers that killed drives.

Our defense played better in the second half because the coaches did a great job of making adjustments and the players just settled down. The same can be said for the offense but you can't underestimate the effect that Nixon had on finishing drives and executing the offense which is why you saw him for most of the second half.
