And BTW Scott is looking great in practice according to Hud. I can't help but think the deep ball is getting delivered. And I'm very happy to hear that both QBs are passing well... even though from Hud's sheepish grin we all know that he has selected, privately, a starter for Kentucky.
That's true. If Haack was from Turlings or STM it would be a different story.

I'm unfortunately way to familiar with ACL tears. Many are non-contact injuries. Most often they are due to leg muscles not being strengthened and developed properly. In particular ham strings. The other big factor though is fatigue. I'm not talking long term fatigue but rather short term fatigue. For example if a WR runs a fifty yard fly route he really needs two to three minutes to recover afterwards. If you don't get that your muscles simple can't support the knee properly. Next play you run a route in the slot. You make a sudden stop and cut in to the left while your knee keeps going forward. Classic ACL tear scenario.

Such a devastating injury because proper recovery requires surgery and nine months of rehab.

It's kind of odd that I would tie tackling or contact to the injuries. I'm always saying that most injuries aren't contact related. I was trying to find a silver lining in this dark cloud. There really are no silver linings tied to injury. ACL injuries definitely seem to be a long term recovery following surgery. I feel bad for these young men.
