Not to be argumentative, but I think it's pretty easy to see if a pass plays success is credited more for a sweetly thrown accurate pass or a spectacular grab by the receiver. I think most people on this board can recognize who is playing above average when it comes to skill players. QB's mostly get credit for pass plays anyway, unless it's an obvious poorly thrown pass.

Or the QB threw it where he was supposed to and the receiver ran the route wrong...if he runs the route too shallow it will appear the QB over threw him.

His initial release off the line (which is crucial if he was the first option, being the TB couldn't read a defense) was not very good, and we didn't exactly play elite secondaries all year. I know he can run, but I need to see crisp route running (something Hud commented on last year) and a better release to be impressed.

True, we don't usually get that kind of info, especially on completed passes.

Yep, I think that was the plan. Still sucks to have 3 WRs go down with torn ACLs in camp. (4 going back to the spring with Barnes- hybrid WR/TE)

Time to bubble wrap the WRs! It's unfortunate but these injuries always happen. Hopefully the injury bug will move on once the season starts.

If you want Haack to get credit for pass plays... and be exhaulted on RP... all you have to do is cut him down on here. The people you argued with last year don't have a stinking clue about whether it's the QB or the WRs that make a particular play work or not. And BTW Scott is looking great in practice according to Hud. I can't help but think the deep ball is getting delivered. And I'm very happy to hear that both QBs are passing well... even though from Hud's sheepish grin we all know that he has selected, privately, a starter for Kentucky.

Yes, it does suck. I hope it's a sign that our defensive secondary is massively more physical than we've had prior. As someone pointed out, it is time to bubble wrap the remaining WRs. I'm sure Hud and Jay are discussing this with the WRs and the defense.
