The Hale camp thinks he's better qualified than Harris. The rest placed their trust in the board to select the best candidate... Harris. The other candidates have no supporters. Why ask about them? This is strictly a Hale versus Harris thing. And we're not converging on a happy ending on here, no matter. Let's just let Harris do his job and report on the progress.
We all know UL chooses to operate these kind of processes out of the public eye. When you do that, your decisions must be perfect, or else you get destroyed. You either take the heat in the open view, or you must be perfect. There's no middle ground for public people. You, for instance, do your job with 100% public scrutiny, as you do your work. You take your criticism in small bites. Those that have public assignments, and try to hide their process, get destroyed when they aren't perfect. And I applaud that. Public transparency... or perfection. If one doesn't like those boundaries... go private.
