Tech's retirement home in the endzone is going to look pretty...but it's in the endzone. How much money did they drop so Terry wouldn't have to sit with the plebeians? And you know what they did? They got ULM thinking it was a good idea for Endzone facilities too...even though all they could afford was a corner facility. Sitting in the endzones is about as unprime as one can get.

That's what I say: I truly don't get this whole business of spending all that money....to have your most expensive seats, with the worst view of the field.

But the worst part of their project is when you look at the condition of their home side: besides looking like an outdated high school stadium, their PB is way worse than ours, and that's saying a lot. What is that old saying: putting lipstick on a pig?????

And one has wonder how they will able to afford to do anything else: they have already bamboozled the students into adding a fee, so that is out. But oh yeah: when they get into the B12 they will tons of money. And an hotel....maybe even an airport, lol.

It's gonna be quite nice but a lot of schools have their APC's in the endzone.
*Tech will be remodeling their pressbox in the near future as well.

You should be apprised that the revised plans for the APC is at 100,000 SqFt.

I thought the 100k came from the ~65k for APC and the ~25k for the Track/Soccer.

What's been added over the 65k shown in the initial drawings to get a >50% increase in square footage? I wouldn't think that little Phase 2 area would add that much.

Guess you were not able to consider the fact that we added SF by going up???? The master plan is one story, the finished product is two story.

And what kind of formal plan is in place for ltur to remodel the rest of the stadium? Time frame? Funding?

Pretty sure that was the original concept rendering before choosing an architect and final planning. To the best of my knowledge, they have not released the final plans. You may be right that the space combines with the Track complex but I've seen the size of the APF listed in a print article at both 85,000 and 100,000 SqFt. I'm awaiting the final plans to see what they actually decided upon.

The SF of the APC and the SF of the T & F were never combined and listed as one. The APC is ~85K, but as someone else added, a smaller addition was added after the article was written.

Looks like the offices on the second floor is the expanded area, the plans on the athletic website show it going to middle of the entrance structure, but looking



Best I can tell from the background rendering it was expanded to just past the entrance.



Keep an eye out at LaTechSports.com sure the announcement about the Pressbox expansion will be out by the end of the year.
