    Think positive, friend.
Man...I wonder if LSU fans will give the cajuns players high fives if we win the series...I'm sure they will...Nuttin but respect from their fanbase.

The consensus on the LSU board is that starting Wyatt tonight is basically stacking the pitching to win the last two games. We know Gunner threw a ton, with 26.2 innings since May 14 and likely needs the extra day. What say you?

I think Robe thinks LSU can't hit a soft tosser, just like he thought Rice can't hit a soft tosser.

I think Robe's coaching to win game 1, and I would've been surprised if he hadn't started Marks.

Soft tosser? Not following you here.

I thought I heard robe say marks doesn't get it up there as hard as leger and he thought Rice might have more trouble with it. Maybe "soft tosser" wasn't exactly right lol

No. I think Marks and Guillory are the hard throwers. Marks is a power right-hander with a good slider. I have seen a few 93's (I actually saw one 94 on a scout gun in San Marcos) ... and generally sits around 90-91. Leger is mostly upper 80's ... the "softest" tossing of the three.

That said, it has been a long year for these freshman and arms may not quite be reaching the velocity they were.

Marks reminds me a bit of Dohmann ... Hard throwing right hander with a good slider and a bulldog mentality.

Of course they would like to think that. No, this is not reverse pitching. As you say, Gunner can use the full week of rest (as LSU would like to do with Poche). Besides, this is the same rotation used in the Houston regional.

Maybe he said Leger was a better matchup for that reason.

Leger is a lefty who can change speeds very well, none of them throw soft but leger is better at keeping guys off balance. They all can throw in the 90's
