You kind of answered this for me? So, Matt Cassell plays a season while Brady is hurt. Plays like a pro-bowl caliber QB, then gets traded and makes his money only to be below average the rest of his career. Ryan Mallett, ditto… Matt Flynn does the same in Green Bay, only to be traded and never earn a starting job again. Good systems make good QBs. I have never thought Brady was anything other than a system QB with a winner's makeup. Rodgers on the other hand has loads of talent and could win anywhere under any system, but also as pointed out, thrives in a good system.

If any QB doesn't play in a system...they aren't likely very good.

2 Straight Super Bowl appearances (1 more than Brees), One Super Bowl Ring (same as Brees), and more playoff wins than Brees (in just 3 years!!!). Now care to explain to me why that's a bad thing?

Not saying it's a bad thing. Just trying to compare the "system" definition he is using to how I see the Saints offense.

Seattle is successful because they have a dynamic defense and an offense that executes the system. The Saints have to be dynamic on offense because they have a defense that inconsistently executes...

What I'm saying is your comparing Drew Bree's to Matt Cassell. Think about that. Brees threw for 3500+ yards in a single season in San Diego. Matt Cassell has not thrown for 3500 yards since he left N.E.

Why did Brees all of a sudden become an All-Pro QB 6 years into his career? Magic? A robotic arm implant after his injury? Sean Peyton?

Hypothetical situation for you... Who would you rather keep around if you had to choose, and you would lose every one else? Drew Brees, the entire O-Line, the entire defense or Sean Peyton? If the answer is anything other than Sean Peyton, you need to stop watching football, and go put on replays of Curling from the winter olympics… Brees is a very accurate QB who has the tools to succeed in Peyton's offense… but so do many other QBs. Without Peyton, Brees never sniffs the HOF muchless gets considered for it.
