I say the Saints trade their current first round pick for a bevy of midround picks for both this year and next, then select someone in the Seahawks first round slot.
I recall a couple of seasons ago the Jets showed how to defend Graham, and ever since I have seen teams rough him up a bit and he loses his a lot of his effectiveness.
Interesting stat from Mike and Mike this morning on Graham that might have gone into this deal.
Graham has been targeted nine times from the one yard line, and has eight touchdowns. What went wrong vs the Patriots?
Now if we can just get an underused Pewee from San Diego. Breese would love that big target, and he even blocks.
Nope it was Seattle...on a Monday night...they showed the world that Jimmy is soft. Now they have him on their team...time to toughen him up. I want Lynch to pelt him with Skittles each time he misses a blocking assignment. I want Richard Sherman barking at him all day talking about "who is Jimmy?" I want Micheal Bennett to rush right at him and swim move him day after day until he breaks. You have to break a man...to build him back up. That was never going to happen in New Orleans. He was Jimmy in New Orleans. He was protected. Protection is gone. I want him battered and bruised...I want him like a steak that was left on the pit. Tough as nails. If anyone can do it...Pete Carroll can.
This trade could work for both sides... Doesn't have to be a winner and a loser. Different teams have different needs. If this deal secured the center spot with Unger and allows Lelito to slide to guard and we can cut Grubbs or Evans to free up huge cap numbers to gain defense help then it works. Have to look at big picture.
So who steps in as our receiving TE now? Are there players on the existing roster that can fill Graham's shoes? Can we get a trade for LG?
