Only way I think that changes the situation is if it happened right before the bowl. If the change in ruling was known before football season and the change in status made clearly known to the coaches prior long before the trip to New Orleans was scheduled then that's still on the Administration. JMO

Keep in mind that not all changes in policy are communicated to the staff immediately. If indeed that has changed, no one has produced a link to any article that mentions changes in what can be submitted as bowl expenses and what can not. It clearly wasn't a problem the last three years. Bottom line, It wasn't communicated to the staff. Now it has been corrected, but it should have been handled by the individual that is responsible for finding or raising the funds from day one. If he wasn't notified of this change until after the bowl game, then Benson should get his butt skewered by his employers (Presidents) for not informing his membership of this change in a timely manner.

Boomer, I agree with you ... if indeed the S-BC office is dictating what we can or cannot use as expenses (and after a precedent has been set) I would find some way to work this out.
