Well considering all the injuries and a preseason starter being academically ineligible...he really didn't have much to work with so far this year at that position. You lose that many players at any position you are going to struggle at that position. May sound like an excuse to some of you but that is a fact.

Actually I thought the game plan was good. Here's why: Arbuckle this year has been slinging the ball all over the yard. and, that's the way GSU can really hurt you. The Cajuns played six DB's a lot during the game, and they did it to make Ga. State run the football. Saturday, Georgia State ran more running plays than passing plays. They ran when UL was in their nickel/dime, and passed when the Cajuns were in base.

Now, the execution wasn't always there. But the plan was a good one.

The first requirement Q I have for any coach/teacher is does he scream/cuss or teach?

They didn't throw it all over the field on us like some were expecting. We kept them below their season avg passing. A few drives were extended on personal foul penalties which meant we made the stop. Defense looked improved to me.

Fake punt and 15 yard sideline penalty wasn't the defenses fault either.

The part I think people are still missing is that we were over matched by Ole Miss and Boise talent wise. I'm not sure about LaTech, but I do think they are better than we all expected. We are in Sunbelt play now and we are as talented if not more than everyone we will play. That, along with fixing some of the defensive play, will go a long way.
