From Cajun Athletics: Trailers will still be allowed inside the TG spots. However, vehicles will not be allowed back into TG spaces until it is deemed safe by parking enforcement.

Or until they can longer stop every vehicle that is streaming into the TG area to retrieve their stuff at once.

So how is that the university's fault?

Is it the university's fault if they say do not storm the field and 10k people rush the field after (or during) a game? Write tickets. Revoke tailgating spots. Follow the rules or else.

I'm not a member of a football tailgating group so sorry at my lack of knowledge.

Could the waiting list for tailgating spots also play a part? If folks are parking three vehicles in tailgating spots, couldn't you have another tailgater making use of that spot? I see it constantly listed that we have a waiting list for spots. Just curious.

There were cars in the Tailgate area that would leave after 1 pm. No car, no possible way to leave.

It's THEIR rules!!! If it goes to hell in a hand basket it is THEIR fault for not policing THEIR own rules. There are not that many tailgaters and with an adequate group of people they could enforce...bu you know they won't have the adequate group...it will be 2 people for the entire TG area.

If you have a tailgating spot, you should not have that much to complain about. There is a waiting list a mile long of people that would love to abide by the new rules.

I agree the timing of this "unannounced announcement" was really poor. I agree that the they should have just left things the way they were and increased the price of tailgating spots. It was handled very poorly, but we can not change what is done.

SOLUTION: suck it up and buy a parking spot for $250 and quit complaining. It is still a hell of a lot cheaper and better location than paying $750 to tailgate all 6 games at Blackham (which is what they are charging). If that doesn't solve your problem, just sell me your tailgating spot and be done with it.

If you think policing that policy was hard, wait for the "deemed safe" pick up policy.
