    By the way, you have it reversed. Raginpagin, or at least the most vocal of the membership, are Obama, they just love to blame everyone but themselves.
    Better go easy on the Farmer Kool-Aid, Deacon.

    Did he really call us LOUISIANA RCAF SUPPORTERS obama ???? He just proves our point. Us UL supporters who donate have every right to refuse to be treated like mushrooms and be fed bull____ and kept in the dark.
    That's the arrogance that keeps people like myself, Z, Hammer, pushing forward in our simple quest to see OUR beloved University be the best it can be and not let the ghosts of Authement haunt us anymore.

    You're a suck up that will never criticize Scott... no matter what. We get that. But, please explain your poor attempt at blame redirection. How are any members of RP at blame for responsibilities that are not only clearly assigned to the paid servants of the university, but are kept extremely guarded from the public eye?

    Explain your formula.

    RP = Cajun fans with diverse opinions
    Fox news = best news network - gives conservative perspective
    Scott Farmer = AD with some upside/downside
    Obama = horrendous president

    Are you just really bad with associations?

    The goalposts never move. Lucy just moves the ball. I think "the story" will never be told.

    It might be fair to say that the success of athletics is due overwhelmingly to the coaches and players, and that the AD does NOT add much marginal value - especially vision and direction.

    It just seems that the AD is overshadowed ... the coaches are much better at what they do, than he is at what he does.

    The AD role at every university is massively important to the athletics of the respective university. He is overshadowed by coaches and players because most of his critical work is done in the shadows. The most accurate argument made in this debate over how good Scott is as an AD is that no one knows exactly his role in the accomplishments or failures since he's been here. The absolute facts get lost as the shadows change shape. I do think it was nice of someone to poll Scott's job rating at this point in time. There's no time to catch some sun like a sunny day.

    The way it works is like this... most ADs only lose their jobs when a lot of bad things happen in the athletic department, he commits an unforgivable offense, the president doesn't like him, the top coaches don't like him, or the most influential boosters don't like him... or a combination. The average fans' combined opinions are irrelevant. And the facts are usually hidden from us anyway.

    Geaux Cajuns!!!

    -------Ah yea---Finally a rational post about him---That has always been my point--We don't know and there are things we shouldn't know until they are ready ----this does away with all the rumors that are extremely non constructive----I tried to break down the different areas of job description and results in my post---pretty good in a lot of areas and some surely weren't the work of him and others were----OH and some not too good ---as your post says, "the facts are usually hidden from us anyway" !!!
