It's called cutting the guy some slack. NO ONE on this board knows what it is like to be the AD of a D-1 athletic program and last time I checked, we are sitting in a position neither I, nor the majority or people here, ever thought we would be in. I will call a spade a spade. He has screwed up some things, but we are in a better place now than when he started, and he deserves some of the credit.

Yes, he deserves some credit, but not all that your post ascribes to him. He also rates a good bit of blame especially regarding the first point. The players who refused to get on the bus and TJoe, who overruled Farmer's decision, are responsible for retaining the softball coach.
