Anyone else worried about Shugg's leg? Pretty sure that was his bad leg… I hope it's nothing too long term. Feel bad for the kid, he's already relegated to DHing, it'd be a shame for him to miss a bunch of time or possibly the season.

The blame is on the fact that in spite of our 7 runs, we could not get a hit when it counted 3 straight times in seventh, eighth, and ninth. Pinch hitting for Strentz might have been a good idea because Thurman can hit a bit.

UNO played good ball. They get some credit too.
I have a question. Why bring in Carter? Didn't the first guy give us good innings. Why not pitch him until he starts to pucker? I don't question coaches line up decisions. We scored plenty of runs to win. Our pitching started out great. Why jack with a guy who's knocking down batters like bowling pins? I doubt Robe will continue this philosophy the rest of the year. He's had his chance to push the envelope as far as he can & still host a super regional. Now it's time to get your team back on the right track for Omaha and a national championship.

I hope Tyler's injury is just that a bruise, he is a really good hitter and a good kid. He deserves better luck.

You're right. UNO did play good ball, and I don't want to take anything away from them.

He's one of our primary closers on the weekend. You can't afford to have him throw too many innings.

Certainly, I'm glad they won. My issue is the pitching by committee. So far, other than tonight, it has worked out this year, but it has hurt us tremendously in seasons past. It's just a personal thing I guess, and obviously, since I'm not coaching D1 baseball, my opinion is about as useful as the US Constitution to the Communist currently occupying the White House.
