Another name thread: ESPN no longer has us listed as "Louisiana" on their brackets

I don't think it's necessarily LSU behind the name/ESPN screw-ups. Hell, I picture some dweeb behind a computer who thinks it's funny that ESPN gets emails, tweets, etc. every time they put our name up. But, if you think something screwy isn't at play, then you're not paying attention. Can ESPN really be that incompetent? They amount of times they screw up the logo alone is quite telling.

Think about how many times they have screwed up anyone else's name...logo...etc. Kyle will do anything to take heat off his beloved LSU.

Regarding the Leoperd logo, I believe most of the time this is probably done by an unpaid twenty year old intern from the Northeast who probably has very little knowledge of who we are. He reads Lafayette on a prep sheet and types that into the database and finds Lafayatte logo..then puts it up. Notice that it usually only happens on lower production programming like ESPN 3 and ESPNU.

There is a Monroe College...ever seen or heard of that one being switch with ULM? There is even a California University of Pennsylvania...and they have never been mistaken or had the logo of Cal-Berkley in their place. It's done on purpose...anyone with a high school education and a lack of obsession with camel spunk can see.

Monroe College is a junior college which ESPN does not cover and have only a few sports. They probably don't even own or have a logo. The Same with this Cal Penn team. Don't get me wrong I think it is unnacceptable on both our admin and ESPN that the logo is wrong, I'm just not ready to put all the blame soley on ESPN.

You & certain pals are so fixated on them that a psychology major should do a case study & name a disease for your psychosis. Do you realize by taking the emphasis off of your team & your school to continually bring up big bad LSU how much of a disservice you do to your own school? Do you realize how disrectful that is of you to your own athletes & coaches who worked their behinds off to put themselves in this spotlight. I would much rather have Hudsheen or the Cajun 3406 giving me a hard time about crap I said about Payton orMarlin over the past three years than this P!$$!ng & moaning over why the networks aren't putting the right fricking letters up by your school logo, or the motives behind why newspaper guys who have historically labled your school as irrelevant are now coming out of the woodwork to praise your team's & your school's accomplishments. Did you ever think they are doing it out of something called RESPECT? I know it's a foreign concept to you because you don't have any for yourself & therfore certainly don't have any for anyone else. But I think it's pretty cool that guys who usually give UL-L the silent treatment are coming out with hat in hand & saying for better or worse. Go guys.
