I guess Karl misunderstood what I meant when I told him to get on ESPN about their screw up in our game and logo.

Someone is getting into ESPN's ear to change this. I have a guess...
CBS typically labels us as Louisiana. They did when the bracket was unveiled. I do not see a reason why this will not happen on Friday.
I looked tonight just for fun, both the CBS Sports and Fox Sports smartphone apps list us as "Louisiana-Lafayette".
La.-Lafayette is the current listing used by the NCAA, that is how we are stored in their records. They will change it after this current athletic season is complete (June), until then, in some cases, La.-Lafayette will be used in references to the NCAA tournaments.
I have a question. Does one single person on here know for a fact that it wasn't somone from the school which made the call to have the branding changed to La- Lafayette? Not no but hell no. The last time I checked Karl Benson explained that representatives of the university directed the SBC to address our school as UL-L. Not one single person on this site can say for sure it wasn't some numb nutted nimrod within the administration making this call. I guarantee you one thing. If they had some one, anyone with any stones reaching out to the networks & making any kind of effort AT ALL to keep the Louisiana name on the monikers the networks would do it. Why would they do it? Simple. Because UL is the only school from Louisiana in the tournament. Here's the formula guys & gals. Win, demand respect, get respect, win, demand respect, gain respect, win demand respect, gain even more respect. All three of those ingredients must be part of the formula for it to have any effect. Right now nobody from New York, or Connecticut could give a good hoot in hell what anybody from LSU had to say for one reason. They're on the outside looking in. I can't believe most of you guys claim to be college educated & are so freaking gullible when your own administraion has pulled your pants down & given you wedgies time, after time, after time.
That question has crossed my mind more than once.
Especially since it was Aaron Martin UL's own Director of Communications and Marketing, who offered up the -never before used, but now prevalent term "UL-L" on a silver platter.
Ironically Dr. Joseph Savoie has never commented on fixing this debacle.
So yeah when I saw how fast UL-L was adopted and who spearheaded it, I question who has the clout to make a media outlet change their use of Louisiana mid stream.
With no SID, I want to interview Aaron Martin
