WOW..... Alabama comes in for a three game series and we are having a ______ing contest over parking? Over the past 29 years I've faced Mardi Gras and Cajun athletics on multiple accounts. I face worse in five o'clock traffic every day in Lafayette.

Did anyone miss.....Alabama.....three games ......at the Tigue! Mardi Gras in my opinion is a bonus.

So looking at the map, you can only get to Reinhardt from the Bertrand/S. College gate. Is there a valid reason why they couldn't allow entrance from the Cajundome Blvd/Souvenir Gate/Reinhardt intersection? Seems like that could help alleviate some congestion.

Its Mardi Gras weekend. 2 top 25 teams are playing at the Tigue. One of those teams is The Cajuns. Geno Delafose is playing in the parking lot. I mean no disrespect, but the pope himself could not alleviate the congestion. Just plan on leaving your house early and the traffic to be heavy.

Basketball game is at 3 pm Sunday. Baseball is supposed to start at 1:00. I'm hoping they move baseball up an hour or two...

    Check out: http://gomardigras.com/

    Parade Schedule: http://gomardigras.com/parades.html

    Parking Map!: http://gomardigras.com/bands/Cajun-Field-layout-L.png

I contacted the Mardi Gras Association and was assured that even after designated baseball parking fills up, baseball fans will be able to park in the other available parking areas provided a baseball ticket is shown upon entry... or it will cost $10. I don't know for sure, but I'm guessing the gate at the NorthWest corner of Cajun Field (Congress/Bertrand corner) on Congress will be open as well...

Looking forward to the weekend! Hope we get tomorrow's game in!

    GEAUX CAJUNS!

I thought there was a "Friday Night Parade" on the 28th starting at 6:30, but it is not listed. Maybe it was cancelled or moved? Regardless, it was supposed to start at 6:30 with game at 6:00... so no issues related to the parade getting IN if you are getting to the game in its first part.

Saturday - 12:30 Childrens and 6:30 Krewe of Bonaparte. - Childrens could be an issue with the 2:00 first pitch. I'd suggest getting to the Tigue early.

    Sunday - NO PARADES! ;-)

So Saturday the parade starts at 12:30 which probably means 1:00 and is going down the street where the people are suppose to enter for the game---Help---I am not trying to be a negative but are you saying get to the game at 11 for a 2 o'clock first pitch??? I think that the other R-DR gate might work out a little!!!
