Keep in mind this game is early into the season. I won't be surprised to see a number of arms from both dugouts. Coaches want to get a look and let them get some game experience. Most will be on some low pitch counts.

Cody Glenn went 7 innings last year.

Because he was nearly untouchable for those 7 innings and had a relatively low pitch count. I am pretty sure all pitchers will be on a pitch count for almost every team in college baseball early in the season. Some may be higher than others, and I don't have the stats to back this up, but I am pretty sure Glenn was under 100 pitches in that game. Back in my pitching days that was always my pitch count. If I was pitching to contact and throwing less balls I would usually get to throw a complete game (if I wasn't getting shelled) within my 100 pitches. If I was nibbling around the plate and getting to full counts etc in the early part of the game, I may have been done after 4 innings without having given up a run.
