Nope! You answered your own question. At the time he was not the Saturday starter, and even if he was it still wouldn't be bush-league. Not sure how much time you have spent in dugouts growing up but baseball is a funny game played by a strange set of "unwritten" rules. You can read about what constitutes bush-league baseball but the rules are not "official" rules. Just part of how the game is played.

Would it beyond the realm of possible actions for Manieri to hold Glen in the midweek...knowing full well he was Weekend starter material...just to have a plausible reason to throw a weekend guy on a midweek game...just to beat us? It's not like they leave the Box anytime before conference play anyways...so leaving a weekend guy on midweek just to prove their superiority wouldn't hurt them too bad. Now...if you excuse me I need to go clean my tinfoil hat.

I think that is exactly what they are doing, but like someone else said, if they aren't over using him and risking injury no harm is done. If he pitches against us, then again against Yale the following weekend I would have a different opinion, but I bet they rest him against Yale and he returns to weekend action the following weekend.

To be fair, LSU's midweek games between their first 3 weekends are the toughest games they play in that first stretch. I dont really blame them the way the schedule sets up.

Each coach will do what they think is in the best interest of their team. All we as fans need to do is watch and enjoy the game. I don't think there is necessarily a right or wrong answer for what LSU or UL will do regarding the pitching for the game next week.

LSU played one game this past weekend in NOLA and is playing tonight in Hammond against SLU.
