How much do the coahes make? No offense, but I don't think anybody on this board or on the coaching staff for that matter, has a clue who he best QB is. At least from the sample size game portions we know of. I just hope the coaches make the best choice, have his butt ready to play, and have a plan to do something different this game. I really hope they have a plan of "attack" to attack the other team instead of sitting back on their behinds, like they're collecting welfare, and hangining out on the corner, like they did in Mobile. That goes especially for the defense.

I know you are too smart for this. This is a fan popularity poll, or question and you are right the coaches know a world more about these three than any of us. But just like in the Progressive insurance commercial , 'EVERYBODY knows that just like a fifteen minute call to Progressive could save you lots of money". I do have an opinion base on a small sample. Of the three quarterbacks Nixion looks like the guy that can handle the pressure of the moment. Is he a better quarterback at this time, I have not a clue, but I recognize people who are cool under fire and he is. Just like anybody could read Brauchlae with eyes could recognize the fear in him by his body language, and face on television games.

No it isn't. You might be surprised how good our defense is. Our offense struggles, admittedly, but our defense was responsible singlehandedly for at least 3 wins.

No doubt Tulane has a good defense and forced many turnovers. To do that to anybody means something. At the same time, Tulane has played some really bad offensive teams. Really bad. That goes into the equations as well.

I would not read too much into the ULM victory and Browning. I know Tulane fans do not want to hear it, but the kid was in bad shape after the Oklahoma game and not nearly full speed. I kinda think TODAY that game might go another way. They have no real back up to Browning, he was the straw that makes that stirs that offense.

Run the ball, punt the ball, make um drive a long field, keep doing it and the run game will take over. Put it in the air and it could get ugly.

That isn't wholly correct, Tulane's defense is the one that beat up Browning. If we played them again, we'd beat them even worse. As far as bad offenses, maybe, but no worse than the defenses your offense racked up stats against. Look, I'm not taking anything away from your offense. I'm looking forward to seeing it against our defense.

That is not wholly correct. It was Tulane's D that beat Browning up. If we played them tomorrow, we'd beat them even worse. As for bad offenses, OK. But they weren't any worse than the defenses your O racked up stats against. Look, I'm not taking anything away from your offense, I'm looking forward to the matchup with our D.

First of all, we have 2 weeks to make a decision at QB, implement a gameplan, and go through it in order to familiarize. Being that this is a FAN OPINION question, I believe Haack is the correct option for us. Especially if EMcG is a full go. Lots of really smart ppl within the program have been high on Brooks for a long time. You can't just scrap all that because of one stinker. The guy came in under enormous pressure against a rival and performed extremely well. He is more than capable.

I understand the QB running threat and I don't disagree that it's a legit point. But a potent passing attack also allows EM and Harris to run rampant as well. And let's be honest, Broadway has left a lot to be desired in the passing game this season.

Nixon can serve a purpose in a limited role, but let's have Brooks do what he does. If he can put it together in an environment like the NOLA bowl, it could bode well for all of us going forward.

Also, I think the offensive line play (as well as Andre snapping the ball with some consistency) is the real story behind this decision. We'll see..

They need to give brooks a lot of short high percentage passes to get his confidence up, bubble screens, TE in the flat. They can say it all they want but they can't expect him to hit the big throws that broadway does right out of the gate. Let him get a feel for the speed of the game. I don't think the coaches put him in the best possible position to succeed the other night. The turnovers didn't help either.
