Thread: MBB Cajuns (92) v. Cowboys (66)

  1. UL Football Re: Cajuns v. Cowboys

Great game overall, except for six minutes to end the half. We got drilled in that six minute stretch. We convincingly won the other thirty four minutes in all phases of the game.

I won't comment on the stars as everyone knows they are outstanding.

I liked Wronkosky knowledge and being where he is supposed to be. Too bad it is not translating to points. I am pretty sure he is scoring in practice so maybe in time his knowledge and skill set will merge with his emotions.

Big Boy, JJ Davenport. Runs very fast for a guy that big and has quickness. I have seen many centers at UL who could not cover the court close to his speed, and those guys played many minutes for UL.

He takes up lots of room in the paint, and even if he is not making the rebound, he is actually helping other teammates get to the ball. His guy rarely gets an opportunity to get a clean rebound, or shot. He is not going to score a lot of points because he cannot get vertical and I saw one of his shots easily blocked last nigh.

He does a show on 103.7 fm here in Lafayette. It's primarily an LSU driven show, but he gives the Cajuns a lot of love.

We break into LaBumba when he comes into the game which I hope does not happen this year and he gets a medical RS!!!! If M-Rock brings my pants tonight I might go and change into them!!!! I've tried listening to him but he ULLed me to death. Between him and the Jim Rhome wanna be, Jay and Scott have no worries about competition in the afternoon.

Regarding Elfrid and his comparison to Dwayne, Tiras and Orien, EP was nominated to the John Wooden award watch list, which is the equivalent of the Heisman Trophy for college hoops. I don't necessarily think he is a combination of those three guys, but I think he is defenitely a better player. Absent something crazy happening, he will be our first player drafted since Kevin Brooks. IMO, he is our best player since Michael Allen.

Now, the team with Orien, Brian Hamilton, Tiras, Dwayne, and Cameron would likely beat this team. But, EP and Shwan would give them fits.

Elfrid is the fastest left handed forward I have ever seen!

Orien green was drafted, I think EP is just a better over all player. If he could shoot like tiras wade with the skill set he has... He would be a top 10 pick in the draft. Wade could stroke.

I'm sorry, I completely forgot about Orien getting drafted. I think EP will go slightly higher than OG. But, I agree that Elfrid is the better player.

Not a big fan of his show, but I can't catch 1420 in my office. He usually goes with "ragin cajuns" to avoid UL, but he's actually thrown in some UL's more lately. He's an LSU guy, but I think he respects our program. Not defending him or anything, just my observation.
