Dude made an unassisted double play at third base...as a catcher. Even the pro's had to be like...OMG!!!

I think Strentz is projected as an outfielder, even though he's played very little outfield. We saw what he could do in the outfield this past weekend. I'd like to see him start in left with Furman as catcher next year. He could still be the back-up catcher, giving Furman a break once a week or so. I bet Mike's hitting would improve a lot also if he didn't get so worn out catching all the time. I think his MLB stock would go up with a year in the outfield and a possible higher batting average. (But really, I'm just selfish because I want him to stay so we can win the College World Series next year)

It is Thurman, not Furman. But I did know who you were talking about.

Also Strentz double play was not unassisted. There was a throw from the 3rd baseman. Anyway fun to watch the guys play.

Correction noted. I think we'll be seeing his name a lot more next year, giving us old guys a better chance to get it right.

The play that I remember was Mike's perfect throw to the plate from Left to "Thurman" cutting the runner down at home! Jay's description on the radio was quite descriptive.

His throw to the plate I thought was a good as the double play. Different types of plays but both very exciting.

Since we like to correct people......The play would have been scored 3-2 with the throw coming from Jace at 1B
