I like the red fleur de lis as the logo it is simple. I know people think it looks to much like the Saints, but it is a very recognizable logo. It would be easily identified with UL.

Georgia took the Green Bay "G" and made it their symbol. It is good for a university in a city that is The Capitol of French Louisiana to use the Fleur de Lis as its symbol. The red & white will distinguish it from the Saints. UL is using it now on everything. I just got the new UL standard ring that has the Fleur de Lis with the University of Louisiana &1898 on top. Very distinctive.

If UL made a white hat with the red fleur de lis on it I would wear that puppy!

I really do think the university is phasing it in with the new football helmets and on the football uniforms, I suspect that if baseball or basketball ever change there uniforms that they will use the red fleur de lis. I like the fact that it is incorporated into the band uniforms.

Now you just need to get rid of the circle logo which is not on any school uniforms that I can think of and just use the red fleur de lis as the school logo.
