Other than #12, those are some good looking unis.
Notice all these schools stick to their school colors and no gimmick uni's ie adding jersy helmets and pants that are not school colors. I think our colors are still vermillion and white or are they now vermillion and black?
Georgia,Texas,Ohio state,Clemson, va tech, lsu and even Norte Dame and this year, Nebraska have all used a non traditional style/color uniform recently. It's what is in. Even penn state is making changes to their uniform which even after recent events, I thought would never happen.
They do it as one time things. I guarantee you that most of those schools won't be trotting out this year for every game in trendy, "in", fashion statements gone bad.
Penn State might, but that's a totally unique and terrible postion in which they find themselves, and they are making a mistake born out of monumental tragedy.
From a traditional/marketing/branding aspect, our unis/logos are a train wreck.
Crazy you are not comparing apples to apples. None of these schools have made a change in their colors by making a non school color dominate in their uni. When Georgia wears a blue helmet, lsu has green pants, and clemson a red jersey on a regular basis then we could compare it to what we have done with black in our uni.
Rumor is...the new unis we will come out of the tunnel with on Saturday night will have plaid pants.
Texas and Nebraska both use black, neither have black as a school color, Norte dame using green which is an accent color, va tech uses black which is not a school color. I'll take black helmets and pants at a bowl game every year rather than our "traditional uni" to go with our traditional 3-9 record
Sorry to say the traditional record is right at (just under) .500
111 year average.
