The Sun Devils have three pitchers they use regularly ... in fact, Popescue is the much lesser used #3. Hillary Bach (20-1, 1.62) was the #2 and was 2nd team All-Pac 12 this season.

My understanding is that they pitched Escobedo thru most of the end of the season...and exclusively this past weekend.

Jennie Finch will be ESPN announcer for our regional. Your right about former PAC player but I'm not complaining.....

didn't we run her out of a regional one year. I think maybe alana adison took her deep three times in one game?? my memory may be a bit off

From what I've heard in the past, Finch will be prepared and it won't be so bad. We could've done a lot worse. I'll erase this at about 9:20 on Thursday, though, just in case

She also pitched against the Cajuns when Ashley and Donna B were freshman in an exhibition in Sulphur. She pitched a perfect game and the Olympic team won 1 to 0. Ashley and Donna rotated innings and the olympic team were pretty much stymied.

We never played UA in the postseason when Finch was there. The year we went there and knocked them out was 2004 when Gomez had 2 HR's and Brooke Mitchell was pitching. It was Alicia Hollowell who was pitching for UA then, though she was a beast that year as well.

When Finch was there, we beat them once in the Judi Garman her JR year (2001), which was 1 of only 4 losses for them in a year they won the NC, and they beat us 4 times her SR year.

Thats right, except it was 2-0 and both of Team USA's runs were unearned. We had played them earlier in Fullerton where Cuevas pitched and we lost in 9 innings 1-0. Finch pitched some that game as well.
