You've got to be a little more careful with Ashley. She's had those sugerys in the last few years. She's very crafty like an experienced veteran, but can't quite throw the smoke that she did early on. Jordan doesn't have the deep experience of Ashley, but can really throw it. My bet is that we start with Jordan in the first game then follow up with Ashley in game two. If we need a game three Jordan is fresh. You saw what happened with Stanford's pitcher when they threw her too much over the weekend. I think Ashley will wear down sooner due to all that she's been through.

Its says ESPNU per the NCAA site, however, they also have the Oregon/Texas game at the same time listed on ESPNU. I wonder if they'll do it regionally, which isnt something they normally do on ESPNU

EDIT: Just checked ESPN's site and the UL/ASU game is on ESPNU, the Oregon/UT game is on ESPN at the same time.

Problem is: AB struggles a bit in 1st innings. Wallace pretty much doesn't. If "a good start" is what you're after, I believe you want Jordan in the circle.

But Stefni's not calling me for my opinion, and that's probably for the best.

I'll put my money on either one. I really think we're going to roll through this thing. I'm probably wrong, but I think we're going to roll.

If you roll with jordan gm 1 and 3, if necessary, ASU will have faced her three times.

That's an awful lot for a batter and they can begin to figure you out.

Yes Ash has been hit up early on in a few games this year, but we laid some smack on Escobedo. They wont have an idea with Brignac.

As far as her injuries, she's held up fine. And in my mind we wont need her in gm 3 after wallace throws a 2-hit shutout.

You can't manage a series like this like a fan. We're all optimistic. You have to plan your moves in a "what is the worst that can happen? How will we handle it?" mindset. It's no secret that Jordan Wallace can throw a higher number of quality innings in a 36 hour period than AB can. It's just pragmatic. If AB can win game 1 and JW can win game 2, then JW can win game 1 and AB can win game 2. But I'm not sure we win the series counting on AB's arm twice. It's not personal. It's the physical limitations she's dealt with for a while now.

I doubt these Devils are going to figure out either of these pitchers. So it probably doesn't matter. I don't expect any of these games to be close. Maybe I'm just dumb, but I think it's going to be a cakewalk.

The difference this year from previous years is our hitting. Forget the pitching. We will be ok with either and that will not decide these games. Our bats will be the determining factor. Don't bet against red unless you plan on losing some money. I think we visit OKC but anything can happen.

Exactly what I said going into this weekend. Both pitchers are great. We hit the ball and we win! AB - JW - AB or JW - AB - JW.... It doesn't even matter. The fact we roll with two solid pitchers is a huge plus!
