Turb, I listened to Mike Leach for almost a year on the college sports network. If the interviewer says that man had a bad interview then I will say the interviewer was an idiot. He is absolutely knowledgable, insightful, and the most motivasional guy I listened to in years. I simply cannot see him being intimidated about a job at UL or not being prepared mentally or vocally unless he was simply trying not to get the job, and using the interview to garner interest.
On another note, I have it on good sources in additon to not getting the Bear, we also passed on Mac Brown. Just saying.
Brian competed for the job and won it, the starting position was not given to him. He was told he could play the position, I do not believe he would have backed down from competing with anyone, but LSU said you will not be allowed to compete. They kinda told Marshall Faulk the same thing.
Stokley had some good teams in those years, and if he had those two competing on the team who knows where this program could be, can you see BM as a slot back and BF thowing to everyone else. I will say I do not like BF but he was still a dominating qb in college and pros for sure.
I totally agree with you. I made a post about this a few months ago, and someone who seemed to be more "in the know" than I am, said that the reason we didn't take Favre was that Mitchell was established already, and would not be moved due to some assurances that had been made regarding him staying at QB. It would have been unreal to see Mitchell at RB, and Favre at QB. Oh well.
The title of this thread keeps making me wonder why resign (to quit a job) and resign (sign again) are the same word. If Errol Rogers was to resign (sign again), that might instill panic among the fan base.
