Assistant coaches who want to be head coaches need to interview as often as they can, JUST to come across better in the interview process.

I am reminded of Mike Leach who was a bad interview at UL, so they went with Baldwin who was a great interview.

Why would we not want to go after the head coach at McNeese instead of an assistant. Appears, according to birdofparadise we have the money. Why do we always settle for something less. JMO

Matt Daniel, who played at Colorado and Harding and is a former men's coach at Texas-Arlington and Arizona State, would be a tremendous hire. Was a quality recruiter at Missouri. Young and eager at 35. Southland Coach of the Year in 2010 and '12.

After going 6-23 (2-14 in SLC) Daniel's first season in 2008-09, the Sugar Bears have won at least 20 games in each of the past three years and posted a 36-12 record in conference play. This season Central Arkansas (24-6, 14-2 SLC) was the top seed for the league tournament but got upset by Nicholls State in the quarterfinals.

----------Well I didn't know but the Nichols Coach is the same that coached my daughter at Loyola and took them to the National tourney I think 5 straight years and is trying to turn NSU around----Doobie Plaisance and was the name I gave DW before the present hire----GREAT RECRUITER------And before the schooly in her last years they had to play, pass, and pay-----A great recruiter who beat the Cajuns this year in Lafayette!!!!

And the country elected Obama. So what does all of that tell you? Interviews and speeches don't tell the WHOLE story.

Any numb almond knows that Brodhead is a COACH and RECRUITER. I seriously doubt that anyone in the Baldwin era knew how to interview ANYONE because we ended up with him.. The proof is in the pudding.
