Crazy thing was Brooks was starting his freshmen year. I wonder if he would have started last year at MLB and Zanders would have played the SLB had he not gotten the knee injury the previous year and still been bothered with it. He's a talent and he should come in healthy this year. I don't think we're going to lose a lot there.

Zephyr, I stated that he will get a shot at MLB. He mentioned it and that is what I was told. We have a year to wait on next spring.

Do you project him better at OLB or MLB? We will still have Richard Brooks here but seem to have a certain void at OLB once McCoy and Fleming leave.

Brooks and Benoit are not locks to inherit the MLB position. Fleming will get a shot at it with the first team this spring. Jelani will work at both positions when he becomes eligible; MLB is the position the staff recruited him at out of Abbeville.

That would be a bad thing for UL. Whatever the reason, I wish him the best.

I know we were hoping he would break into the two deep in 2012. I wish him luck.

That is another scholly opening ... although we have to be close to 25 limit ... I know they are being creative with grey shirts.

I wonder what that "25 limit" really means. I noticed last night that Troy had 34 commitments, with 15 already signed (JC's). And FIU (I think) had 31. How does that work?
