When the University of Louisiana opens the 2014 season Saturday against Southern University, the Ragin' Cajuns will have some New Orleans spice on its roster. Three starters hail from the New Orleans area and a total of 17 players from the area are on the roster.

Wide receivers Jamal Robinson (Salmen High), Al Riles (Lakeshore High) and free safety Sean Thomas (St. Augustine) are starters.
