there has to be an error in the paper
there is absolutely no way he averaged 9.1 blocks per game
Sure. The Cajuns signed three recruits during the November signing period (G Pancake Thomas, G Alex Andrews and G/F Steven Wronkoski) and just added Mississippi State transfer Shawn Long, formerly of Morgan City.

Mississippi prep F Davon Ester, a Louisiana native, also visited campus in November but did not sign anywhere yet. My story on Ester: http://louisiana.scout.com/2/1125482.html.
The Cajuns aren't done with their 2012 signing class. Look for them to at least add another high school big. I'm waiting to do more on basketball recruiting after National Signing Day is done in February, but CajunRedzone members will be able to read more about that there.
So far, I like Pancake Thomas and Shawn Long as the top players in this recruiting class. Pancake can score from the perimeter and would have received more attention in the spring with a strong senior season. Long has potential (you can't teach 6-10, 250) and is a strong outside shooter who signed with an SEC school, but he needs to improve his footwork, inside toughness, attitude and work ethic. That said, he would be perfect fit for what Marlin wants out of his 4, but he must play tougher.
For more of a retrospective look, this will be Marlin's third signing class. Andrews is a slashing scorer, but there's word that academics could be an issue. Wronkoski isn't overly athletic but understands the game, can shoot, rebound and defend multiple positions.
Marlin's first signing class had G Matt LeBato, G David Perez, G Josh Brown, F Scottie Farrington, G Bryant Mbamalu, F J.J. Thomas and G Donovan Williams. Brown and Thomas stand out from that group. Brown has been one of the league's top all-around players when healthy and is a team leader. Thomas is a legit all-conference player. Their accomplishments would be even better if not for injuries over the past two years.
Marlin's second signing class had F Odayne Clarke, G Elfrid Payton, G/F Darnell Jackson, G Alan-Michael Thompson, F Kentwan Smith, F Darshawn McClellan, F/C Kadeem Coleby and G Kevin Brown. Coleby and McClellan have made immediate impacts as transfers. The coaches were high on Payton, who has shown flashes of his potential this season and will continue to get better.
As of right now, I'd say Coleby has been the top recruit signed by Marlin given that he had a lot of Big East schools pushing for him. (Rutgers looked at J.J. Thomas after he got released from his national letter of intent with Stephen F. Austin but wanted him to first go to prep school.) Long was a late sign by Mississippi State and is still unproven at the college level. With the right adjustments, though, he could be a star in the Sun Belt.
The Thomas brothers, Long and Wronkoski all played summer ball together, which should pay off for the program's future recruiting efforts.
As for Gathers, I understand Baylor is also recruiting him hard.
I love watchin coleby.
It's Tim's article so I'm not sure what you are asking me, but yes he is the biggest get for Marlin at UL. If your asking long I think Marlin is going to stay at UL, it would be just a guess but I think he needs have several winning seasons before any larger program list him as a serious candidate.
Have you clicked on the link?
It's those people in that forum heard about him being a head case at Miss State.
Most of those people are tiger fans but there's a cajuns fan as well.
Hopefully Marlin can get him straight otherwise he could be an issue to the team instead of an asset.
