Shawn Long transferring from Miss St. to UL

Nice to see some size getting back on the roster now. Good work by the staff on getting the kid here. Hopefully everything works out with him over here, and we have him for a good solid 4 years.

He would have to sit out the fall semester and then be eligible once the semester is completed. I don't think he played at all at Miss. St. as I think they were going to redshirt him.

He has applied for a waiver and may be eligible for all of next season, he can practice currently. Since, he never played and the close proximity of Morgan city, I would think he would get his waiver, plus I think somewhere it was mentioned he has a sick family member

On twitter I think Josh Parrott tweeted that Shawn Long is transferring to UL to be closer to home? any viable info on this subject? Im pretty excited if so as this is a great addition to the team as long as the ego stays in check. but then again, having character on the team can be entertaining to watch!
