Just think. CUSA played themselves out of a BCS bowl game. You know how much money that would have brought the Conference. All because they have a championship game. WOW.

What I'm unsure of is, if Houston Loses and we have 5 teams eligible, why wouldn't there be a possibility of a CUSA team in the bowl.

That's what confused me. Houston will lose this game, so there will be no CUSA in BCS which means they can fill all their bowls correct?

It brings into question the risk versus reward of conference championship games. There have been numerous instances that conference championships have screwed the conference. They have almost no potential whatsoever of improving the conference postseason situation but have proven to cost conferences over and over again.
