I'm a diehard fan and I would not mind even if I was not a RCAF member, but I am speaking for the majority here. How about just trying to focus on ways to enhance the benefit of being an RCAF member and grow the numbers for now. _
Sorry, but if you can't pony up $5 to park at a UL game you should probably be at your second job to make ends meet. People pay that to park at the Cajun Heartland Fair, concerts, rodeo, etc... If $5 is going to break you then you probably shouldn't be at the event in the first place.

And yes, we will, without a doubt, begin the stadium project long before we have the money to pay for it. We will have a "plan" to pay for it. The "economic climate"... low interest loans... and very attractive construction labor and material costs... is one of the promotions of starting the project.

The traditional housing industry... an excellent example to use for reference... is not a problem... but in fact a staple of the American economy. 95% of Americans have purchased homes when they did not have the money on-hand to purchase for a century and a half. They presented a plan to responsible financial institutions... got loans... made their payments... and the system worked very well. Liberals decided that the Fair Housing Act... a social engineering program... was in order. Our jugheaded socialist congressional representatives mandated loan institutions... and created new ones... to loan money to people that have no means... no plan... to pay for those loans. In lieu of intelligent governmental institutional regulatory control... they allowed new constructs to be created... and they all knew what they were... to have institutions bundle these Federal government guaranteed bad loans. If you jack with Wall Street... make very certain... Wall Street will jack you back. Our government... to the dismay of the overzealous liberal... is not equipped... and never will be... to manage anything more than the very simple directions they were given in our Constitution. They have "demonstrated" that fact a thousand times. Sorry... but you brought it up.

Now... back to the stadium. BOP is correct. UL has to clear the current construction slate and put the plan up for approval before we can take this subject seriously. Hud is just making sure that the slate clears quickly and nothing else is used as an excuse to slow the start.

Another thing... we can't just wait for Hud to "win his first game" or "take us to the first bowl". His "Teamwork Makes The Dream Work" started the process he aspires from the first day he became our coach. I know the kind of person he is. You do not hire a Hud and then try to bridle that maverick. We've been a pretty sad football system... you have to admit. When we picked Hud to come onboard the UL ship, he looked everyone in the eye and said, "who wants to be a winner?", and everyone raised their hand... including Dr. Joe. Hud very quickly told us how that happens. Management winced. We all did. We had better not let Hud down... or we let ourselves down... all over again.

He's talking about how it looks to a fan that isn't plugged in to the internal workings of running a program. To him, a $250 membership in the RCAF means that he's paying $20 for his ticket and $50 for his parking space if we have five home games. On the surface that looks odd. That's why it's imperative to win and bring buzz to the community as soon as possible so it looks like he's getting a value added benefit for his donation.

Thanks for the help California Cajun. I mean, if I own season tickets ($250-$500) and I give a RCAF donation to receive parking passes ($150-$5,000), dont ask me to continue buying a broken product. Meaning a losing team! Fix it and you will get more of my money. I am speaking for the fan that is not connected to the university. You want me to pay to park and see two team in the bottom 25 play? Even if UL is winning, I am still going see a bottom 25 team. We are who we are for now, accept it and make it the greatest product possible before you constantly have your hand out. If you are a RCAF member parking is not a problem. As I said, I hope it spurs more donations.

I think that the $5 charge would be only for non-RCAF members with out the parking pass-----Would love to see this ---especially for those who only tailgate!!!!!
