You think if Ike saw this thread he would want to support the Cajuns any more? Sure he's not worried about what we think but try to be a little better rep of UL man. Come on the hate on Ike stuff is pretty played out

*yawn* I agree the whole Swaggin U thing is a crock of somethin' smelly, but I haven't been here very long and even I'm tired of the amount of hatred heaped upon a successful alum.
Let a dead dog lie.
I think it's time for my first post.
There is only one UL alum that I can't stand.....and it's Ike Taylor!!
If you can't leave the university and represent us when you hit the "big time" (i.e., the NFL), then screw you.
I pull for all UL alumni....Brandon Stokley, Jake Delhomme, Charles Tillman, Brian Mitchell (back when he played)...and all the others. But, when I tune in to Monday Night Football and I get a chance to hear "University of Louisiana" or "Louisiana-Lafayette" said by an NFL starter as the starters are announced and that frickin' loser from Pittsburgh refers to his University as "Swaggin"......I can't f'in stand it.
I'm glad he lost tonight. The first time I hear him refer to his school as "UL" or "Louisiana" or "Louisiana-Lafayette", then I'll give him his props.
Until then....I'm glad he lost.
Geaux Cajuns!!!
When Ike was coming up . . .
Well let me just say, go back 10 years and look at what players were saying coming out of the tunnel. "Hi mom" "High School" "Home Town" "Position" "nothing" "finger point"
Then players started getting cute, that's where Ike came in.
Not every NFL player is a stud trendsetter like Charles Tillman. True, most now say their university, but not all.
Unless he is bad mouthing you, he isn't hurting you.
Flip the coin: Who wouldn't want to go to a university where you can become a self made man
Next time he comes back to help coach Hud for a spring game (like he did Bustle) this thread will be awkward.

I guess I can say chaulk this one up to "who cares".
* Do I like that Ike Taylor says "Swaggin", HELL NO!!!
* Do I like that Ike Taylor is in the NFL as a UL graduate, Hell Yeah!!!!
* Do I wish he said Louisiana or UL or University of Louisiana, Hell Yeah!!!!
* Am I impressed that he supports the university and coaches at the coaches clinics, Hell YEah!!!!
Ike is a graduate of the University of Louisiana "in" Lafayette according to his website, that is a good thing. He even calls us Louisiana in his website, not ULL, not UL Lafayette, not Louisiana Lafayette. He says "THE UNIVERSITY OF LOUISIANA, in Lafayette" as in I went to the University of Louisiana, located in Lafayette, La.
"College Career
Taylor attended college at the University of Louisiana in Lafayette where he studied in psychology. In his first two years, he became academically ineligible and was unable to play football. After hard work, help, and commitment he brought his grades up and joined the football team as a walk on in 2001. This achievement earned him a scholarship. In his first season, he played tailback, special teams and returned kicks.
Prior to his senior season, Taylor asked to be moved to cornerback. He started the season at the right cornerback spot and recorded 46 tackles, eight passes defensed and two forced fumbles. In four games, he didn’t allow an opponent to catch a ball. Among his college teammates was Charles Tillman who was drafted by the Chicago Bears."
I suport Ike, granted I was pulling for GB last night. he was a great player at UL and a very good player in the NFL. We need to support our alumni that are playing professional sports not push them away.
Keep up the good work Ike, but every now and then, could you please say Louisiana....
