I personally think we need to get both kids in and let them find out if they can play TE or not...if not, move them to OL.
I still wish we were offering Quave at OL and Tatford at TE. Tatford is not going to want to sit around to get bigger and stronger to play OL and from what I understand, he wants to play TE anyway. I think this will minimize our chances of getting him. I think that Tatford would make a nice TE, kind of in the mold of an Erik Jones type who is a good blocker who can contribute nicely in the passing game.
I totally agree...Tatford is not going to play OL. He will go somewhere else, but could make a great blocking TE. I havent seen Quave play to be able to comment but I know Hudspeth is looking for the LG type TE.
and FWIW, Guy doesnt want that either. He has no problem walking on and waiting a year for a scholly. Use the one this year to put an important piece in place
Not all of our qb's are on scholarship. I guess I am being too harsh, but I have stated on this site before that this is just a game and was quickly corrected that when alot of ppl have invested alot of money that it's more than a game. With that outlook,I don't see how a player who is not on scholarship and will only be a scout team player is an asset. We are now having to turn down talented players b/c we don't want to cut a walk-on. If it's more than a game, then that means tough decisions will have to be made at some point.

The question is, who are you considering trimming? Brady Thomas is of little importance in this discussion since he's not on scholarship. That would mean that you were referring to one of the other 5 we do have on scholarship in which 3 are upperclassmen. That is where I think some of us would find that inappropriate.
Your opinion doesn't mean much on this board right now, IMO. You keep blasting the staff for not wanting local players, but it seems to be the other way around, local athletes don't want to play here.
Your boy Bakari and Micah may want to think about going to LSU when they only have 12 open scholarships and 21 commits. The best 12 will get the full rides and the rest will have to hope they get a gray shirt opportunity. Both Micah and Bakari would have full rides to start at UL.
But I guess, they are all about image and not about playing.
But I thought we didn't want local kids. Isn't that what some (especially a couple of AHS fans) keep saying?
