For instance, I would much rather get Pettis, Quave, and Tatford than Pettis, Quave, and some lineman who may be our 4th best lineman commit. Let one of the TE's convernt positions. And you can never have enough DBs as seen this year. _
And if they dont commit to us, then what?

And its not like we've stopped recruiting these players already, but the coaches have to ensure that they have all their positions filled in one way or another.

Agreed best local, but they are not the best players at those positions they are recruiting. Attendance will benefit much more with winning and that is what Cajun fans expect from Coach Hudspeth and his staff.

Well, what are they waiting for, a better option? It is a two-way street. The coaches are trying to improve our program; if one player is rated equal to another, which one do you want playing for you, the one that stands up and says "I am ready to commit to you", or the one that says "I need to wait and see"? Common sense gives the answer.

Should have a spot available because they are local? No sir, I disagree with that mindset period. They won't have the opportunity to wait unti signing day to sign if they are not the best at those positions. No staff does that, unless you are LSU and you can ask a kid to grayshirt even though the kid is qualified.

And why havent they committed yet?

If they want to come commit. If they don't, then we don't wait. These high schools aren't feeder schools to UL. There is no guarantee. Undoubtedly, we have had great players from local schools. Babb, Desormeaux, Fleming, etc.

But those guys also committed. There is no reason to have local kids hold this program hostage.

So by your logic. If there is a TE at Comeaux that is good, and LaDarius Green is ready to commit, we tell Ladarius Green to hold on, we are waiting for the local kid????

I think the answer would be, Pettis (he has committed. Quave, who is likely to commit on his visit.

There are already a couple of defensive backs who have committed. If you read Parrot's blog or Cajun T's sight you would know who they were.
