Its a hypothetical my man. Are you saying these guys are the best prospects that we can get?

I'm asking you a HYPOTHETICAL question. About waiting for local talented kids who are Not ready to commit vs. taking equally or more talented kids from other areas.

My bet is Hollier and others in Louisiana are holding out for the slight chance of playing for the Holy Grail (LSU). I would not even be surprised if LSU has told these kids to hold tight just incase they lose a few out of state recruits.

I am in agreement with most everyone else. Lets get the best available kid. If it is a local, great. No spots should be reserved for local kids who look at us as the option of last resort.

Holding spots for waiters leads to holes in your lineup.

I want Hud to sign the max not the near dozen Bustle started with.

i am not gonna bash any of your local kids because i havent seen them play, but the Mississippi kids you are getting are SEC quality players. All of em. If you wanna win you cant recruit within a 100 mile radius of your school.

Well, these locals better take the sure offer from UL now if they want to play. If they follow the scenario you describe I can see them left out in the cold when State doesn't need them as a fall back and possibly being reduced to playing D1aa ball. Of course, ten or fifteen years down the road we will hear them crying about how they have a chip on their shoulder because they wanted to play at UL but we skipped them in favor of another kid (who is ready to commit to UL now).

It would be nice to get local kids. If they are the best ones we can get. Get the best kid no matter where he is from !!!

If they are not heading down the road to watch Eugene at LSU. Maybe Eugene will change his mind and come here to UL.
