That guy drives me nuts when he calls the local shows. He must think he is the 'smartest guy in the world' judging by the way he speaks to the hosts and listeners.

He's just an ass. And he won't call Jay's show with his crap anymore because Jay will call him out on his stupidity. He only calls Ryckman, Foote, StevieP, etc because they let him get away with his crap about UL.

Carter, he's narrowed it to Memphis and Cajuns. Already took official visit to Memphis. Cajuns have chance to make big impression on his visit here. His dad played here. Exciting offense. Close to home. Some other schools have backed off recently, which is good for Cajuns.

Being completely honest, it's going to be tough for any recruit with an offer to leave their visit without committing.

In your opinions... what are our chances at landing Bakari Hollier and/or Montrel Carter? _

Montrel Carter has said it's down to the Cajuns and Memphis. Coach Hudspeth hasn't visited in home with him yet. But they will wait on Carter, he is a special talent. Bakari Hollier needs to make up his mind soon because Coach Hudspeth is bringing in some good corner prospects from Mississippi and if they commit, he is not going to hold a spot for him.

If I'm a local kid like Tatford and Hollier holding offers, I would talk with Coach Hudspeth soon if they are going to consider playing at UL. There are a number of kids still not committed at their positions that the staff is on that are very good. With Proctor committed now and Scofield still committed to Tulane, I don't see that changing now.

Yeah, Sammy may have missed out. Oh well, enjoy playing in the cavernously empty Superdome.

Hope Evan doesn't miss out on a chance to be part of something good here.

T...can you EVER remember a time when the Cajuns were solidly on to so many quality prospects that they had to shut things down because they were out of slots? I surely can't. What a helluva problem to have!

Hudspeth, Stringer and Saunders have great recruiting reputations in Mississippi the doors are already opened. I expect this class to be at 15 commits by Monday or Tuesday, not counting Molbert or Williams. While they remain committed, Coach Hudspeth has not made any decisions on either yet and so I'm only counting what commitments have been verified by this staff.

Unfortunately, the longer some Louisiana kids wait the less likely they will be part of the 2011 Signing Class. Coach is not going to pass on commitments from quality athletes in Mississippi to wait on Louisiana kids.

At the same time that it may be the Louisiana kids loss, it is also the Cajuns, and now Coach Hud's loss for not keeping a spot for 2 of the best local prospects just because he has some good prospects from Mississippi. No matter what position Coach needs to fill....Hollier and Tatford should be top priority to keep in Lafayette

Because I'm sure attendance will be wildly higher with them. Is that the reason?

Really?? Small town mentality produces small town results. I'm glad that you are probably in the minority opinion on this issue.
