From what I remember he was a fan favorite during his days playing here. Based on the prior info it looks pretty obvious that Joe is a lot more than a special teams coach.
I think he would come into this job with a lot of energy. Could be a good recruiter and based on his position is probably a good manager.
I guess the million dollar question is his ability with the X's & O's.
I'm a little more open to him than I was early on but like what I see in a number of the candidates.
Apples to oranges. We have an elite softball program. One that has been a coaching cradle for many successful programs.
In track, the only guy I want with UL ties is or was an Olympic coach.
Find me a football coach with UL ties and that kind of resume, and I will reconsider.
