Yea, baseball is much more mental than any sport. Confidence plays a much bigger role in baseball than it does in football. In football, you go out, and hit ppl, you block ppl, you catch, you run. Baseball has such a majorly different mental aspect. Momentum has a lot to do with confidence.

Oh so now we weren't trying to win?

Maybe the breaks didnt go our way. Maybe if the two balls caught on the wall go 5 feet further, the story is different. Maybe last night, Marze catches a break and gets a double play to get out of the inning or gets a strike called instead of a ball.

Geez people. We lost. Move on.

If you think our guys mailed it in, take it up with Robe.

Back to the game. What inning and is the score still 3-0?

losing is never good. I'm not trying to spin this into a positive. Just take it for what it is, after two months of playing out of their minds, a young pitcher gave up a big inning last night, and they were terrible offensively today. Guess what they are conference champs, and going to a regional. Should we jus decline the invite and stay at home since we lost two in a row at the Sunbelt tourney?

Again, no matter how you spin it, this is bad for the team..

Its two games. We just won 17 out of 18 conference games and now all of the cohesiveness and unity is completely gone?

If you're right, then next week we'll join you in sulking after we go 2 and Q. If you're wrong, then you get to enjoy some Cajun baseball in a regional with many of us. We'll find out next week I guess.

First of all, he's saying that you ppl comapred the Saints and Celtics (who weren't trying to win) with the Cajuns. So impso facto, you created this.

Anyway, yea, we lost.. move on.. but its the way we lost. And all of you know it. You super optimistic ppl need a reality check from time to time. I'm just stating the facts: there is reason to be concerned. Simply stated.

The only game that saints players rested was week 17 against the panthers. Starters were still out there in week 15 against dallas and week 16 against tampa. Fact is, they lost 3 in a row to finish the regular season and carried that momentum into the postseason and won the whole damn thing.

The way I see it, we didn't use a lot of pitching this weekend, so we'll have a fully rested and loaded pitching staff starting with Osbourne next Friday!

The Cajuns have a long history of underperforming in the conference tournament. I expected them to have some fight in them but I guess I expected too much.
