He knew his son was likely going to get grayshirted at LSU and he still demanded him go there because he would never have his kid play ball here although his other kid can come to school here. As far as I'm concerned, I'd want to make sure they are serious about this and his father should have to wear Vermilion and white, head to toe every day for the rest of the year.

Not to mention, as far as we know, Bates is apart of LSU's program isn't he? He didn't sign but when you grayshirt, you sign the year you become eligible so he wouldn't sign or count against this year's recruiting class anyhow if I'm not mistaken. I'm assuming he hasn't practiced at all at LSU _
Zeph, I interviewed him today at the scrimmage. I will have it up tonight.

    Thanks T, I'll definitely check.

BTW, I'm assuming that its not too good for Justin Anderson right? It didn't look good the way they had him straddled to that cart for most of the scrimmage. Also, did Brandon McCray participate? I didn't notice him if he did.

I don't want to jump the gun on Anderson and say it's worse then it is at this time. But I was told that he will have a further examination x-rays Sunday or Monday. Brandon didn't dress out, he was in shorts and a hooded pullover.

I was just told that Anderson has a broken tibula.

That would actually be goon news in that it is less severe than an ACL injury and he should be back by fall, correct?

Not to be too picky but it is a big difference, is it tibia or fibula?

Now I'm told it's the shinbone, which is the tibia. Should have gone to medical school.

Thanks. If it is a clean break of the tibiathere is a really good chance he is ready to go by the fall. It may require surgery but maybe not. If it was the fibula then that usually just takes 4-8 weeks.

If I remember correctly, the tibia is the shinbone and connects the knee to the ankle.

The fibula is the smaller, non-weight-bearing bone. I believe recovery is quicker with the fibula due to the fact that it doesn't bear any weight.
