Softball - NFCA Tournament Central

Our Killer Bees are not producing right now. Donna did well last night... but with Brignac out and Cuevas struggling, our pitching is averge. Not a good time to be playing many of the best teams in the country.

We have two errors, but Cuevas has 6 walks and 2 hit batters. Bourgeois is great, but Cuevas is really letting us down. I think it is time to cut our losses and start putting a younger pitcher in her spot. She is one of th ebest when she is on, but she is so off and on that we can't count on her for a decent performance come regionals.

This is what her fourth start? You are way to hard. Once she gets over her nerves she will be lights out.

Thank you for a positive attitude! Bad games are going to happen. Thats a part of the game. Everytime I get on here it seems people are so negative about the team. How about some more positive support???

Some of the negativity is bleeding over from the basketball and football programs

Pitching isn't worry as yet; looks like we need to tighten up on the fielding behind the mound.

Let's see how they do against GT and UMass.

Somebody hasn't been paying attention this season (stats are going into Missouri game):

Bourgeois -- 3-3 record, 1.18 ERA, 37 Ks
Cuevas -- 6-0 record, 2.00 ERA, 59 Ks

Cuevas struggled against Missouri, but she's been pretty solid this year. She was 6-0 going into that game.

This team will be very frustrating early in the season because you have a lot of new faces. Tournaments like this one and the Garman will expose a lot of weaknesses, but they have time to fix it.

I rarely get "worried" about the softball team. They'll find their groove. You know why? Because unlike a lot of other UL programs... they have one.
