We have two errors, but Cuevas has 6 walks and 2 hit batters. Bourgeois is great, but Cuevas is really letting us down. I think it is time to cut our losses and start putting a younger pitcher in her spot. She is one of th ebest when she is on, but she is so off and on that we can't count on her for a decent performance come regionals.

Somebody hasn't been paying attention this season (stats are going into Missouri game):

Bourgeois -- 3-3 record, 1.18 ERA, 37 Ks
Cuevas -- 6-0 record, 2.00 ERA, 59 Ks

Cuevas struggled against Missouri, but she's been pretty solid this year. She was 6-0 going into that game.

This team will be very frustrating early in the season because you have a lot of new faces. Tournaments like this one and the Garman will expose a lot of weaknesses, but they have time to fix it.

I rarely get "worried" about the softball team. They'll find their groove. You know why? Because unlike a lot of other UL programs... they have one.

You only get one guess, and it sucks because your second guess was the correct answer. Too bad! The prize was an autographed Saints Super Bowl jersey, plus a new pony.

And I agree with what you said. People who are worried about softball are worrying about the wrong team. They'll have some bumps in the road, but they'll be OK come May.

Losing to Michigan, Missouri, Texas and Houston does not mean the sky is falling.

If there is one thing people should know by now, its that softball for the Cajuns is ol' reliable. They may have their ups and downs, but they always come through. They are definitely the only program at UL that we can say that about.

2 true freshman starting in the infield.
An outfield playing musical chairs due to Hubbard's graduation and Smith's injury.
A pitcher finally healthy after being bogged down by injuries last season.

Yea, they are working out the kinks and ironing out the wrinkles... but for pete's sake its not like they are losing to crappy teams. This is an extremely tough schedule to start the season with, especially when you are starting a plethora of new players.

They'll get back on track soon enough and in time like always to make a post-season push and be contenders. All this sky is falling crap needs to stop.

We were listed in the brackets as Louisiana, but after every game the score lists us as Louisiana Lafayette. What happened to change it? How can we get the tournament to revert to Louisiana?

Your assesment is right on Brady, this is a regional team. The athletes in this freshmen class and next years class are very good, and with Brignacs return next season this program will be set to make another CSWS run.
