Months of work, research and evaluation culminate every year for college football coaches on the first Wednesday of February — a day openly referred to as National Signing Day.
The annual event takes place this year on Wednesday, and the bulk of UL's 2010 recruiting class has been finalized as of this weekend.
Now comes the tough part for both coaches and recruits: Waiting the next few days until verbal commitments become binding on Wednesday with a signed national letter of intent.
UL head coach Rickey Bustle, who cannot comment on unsigned recruits per NCAA rules, is eager for that day to finally get here.
