He may have been a little juiced but these guys aren't in HS anymore. If they can't catch what he was throwing tonight, they need to go somewhere else. Way too many dropped passes.

Look he may have gotten out of the endzone but he did not make it to the 1 or 2 yard line. The runner had his back to the goal line and the ball did not cross the line and he was brought down two feet in the end zone. The ball was place on the 6 inch line after they desided that it was not a safety. So if he made it to the 2 yard line why was it place at the 1/2 foot line? Tvo and slow motion made my case. End of story........

Please don't take offense. I mean no disrespect. But we lost 31-3. Any positives from the announcers are charity and we should be grateful. The best we earned were comments about being scrappy. Under the circumstances, the announcers were generous to us, in my opinion. They also knew their stuff, like the quarterback battle at the beginning of the year at ul. I was quite impressed with that.

Yea, but there was a definite SEC bias there because thats who these guys cover all year. I started to get tired of hearing how this was only Jefferson's 5th start. News Flash, it was only Masson's third. These so called professional journalists need to spend more time researching and studying the non-SEC opponent rather than just cruising by on what they obviously already know about the SEC team du jour. It would make for a more balanced and informative broadcast. That said, the game announcers were not horrible and no where nearly as bad as the in studio bunch.

Agreed that the receivers need to improve but the QB also needs to learn to put touch on the ball in certain situations. The inability to do so was one of the many knocks on an NFL QB with a cannon of an arm named Aaron Brooks.

This is true. The announcer said LSU "got away with one there" on the no safety call. They also "got away with," according to the announcer, a no call of too many men on the field earlier in the game. To be expected, I suppose.

Other than the 4 runs in a row inside the 5, I thought the coaches did a great job. For those saying we weren't trying to score on the last drive, could it have been the fact that we were playing 2nd stringers and their timing was off? I get the Bustle detractors to an extent but I think he and his current staff are light years ahead of where they were a couple of years ago.
A score would have been nice because they would have covered the line! The safety that wasn't would have worked too.

If Im not mistaken The SEC signed some huge contract with ESPN designating all their games....everything...be televised from all SEC schools. Notice they were propping LSU's volleyball match with Kentucky tonight on ESPNU??? One guy even said this was the third time he'd seen LSU play this year...

Of course its going to be homer announcers.

The major SEC bias was with one of the line judges. The same official gave them a few huge spots during the game. He was often 1/2 to a full yard different from the other linesman, but always seemed to take charge and overule.

The safety isn't even worth talking about - it wasn't even close - we simply got jobbed.

I have to say, though, that it was a cleanly officiated game otherwise. They let both teams play, and weren't throwing flags just for the hell of it.

As for the broadcast, it was okay. To be honest, I think we got a lot of exposure by playing LSU on TV, and people (recruits included) had to notice that we are only a few playmakers (and plays) away from being a really good football team.

Agree with you on all points. My wife who is a LSU grad was yelling at the TV on the safety non call.
A receiver with 4.3-4.4 speed who could stretch the defense would make all the difference for this team.
